Meet The Owner

  • Forrest Hermanns

    Owner of Forestry, Fuels and Fire, LLC

    He grew up in the Alaskan Backcountry living the romanticized wilderness adventure we all think of when Alaska pops into mind.

    His Mother is an accomplished Taxidermist and Bird Dog trainer and his Father is a Forester of 35 years. His siblings, consisting of an older sister and two younger brothers, and him spent most of their time outside fishing and hunting as hobbies when they were growing up.

  • A Career Wildland Firefighter

    Two days after graduating Highschool Forrest went into and graduated from the Alaska Wildland Fire Academy. During the academy he experienced his first wildfire and was hooked.

    The following 11 years involved over 20,000 hours of fighting hundreds of fires in a dozen different states and even overseas in Australia and New Zealand.

    Before leaving Wildland Firefighting he was a qualified; Incident Commander 4, Fire Engine Boss, Hand Crew Boss, Helicopter Manager and a Taskforce leader trainee.

  • Caretaker

    All of my experiences led me to where and who I am now.

    Someone that wants to help responsibly steward nature so that we can live with it and apart of it, while also keeping the people and places we love safe and healthy. Which is more important to me and most other people than anything else.
